Acupuncture & Facial Rejuvenation
Your skin is a reflection of your health, and beautiful skin relies on the healthy flow of blood and energy to the face. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine; skin issues are caused by internal imbalances which may manifest as fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, puffy eyes, dry skin, and rosacea.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture) is a more holistic approach to beauty and skincare. It is a safe, non-invasive treatment where tiny, sterile needles are inserted over the face and body along meridian lines and acupuncture points to increase blood circulation, stimulate natural collagen production and improve skin and muscle tone. The face receives an increase of blood to nourish, oxygenate, and moisturize the skin from the inside out. All cosmetic acupuncture treatments have a holistic approach with additional acupuncture points along the body to address the root causes of any imbalances.
Cosmetic acupuncture is suitable for anyone who wants a more holistic approach to skincare.
The initial course of treatment is between 10-12 sessions, 1-2 times a week for the best results. Each individual will respond to the treatment differently depending on their age and lifestyle. Results may be noticeable after 6-7 sessions. Maintenance may be needed once a month.
Acupuncture & Acupuncture For Fertility
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most common and dependable medical therapies used in the world. It is by nature simple, safe and effective health care. Acupuncture practitioners use thin, sterile disposable needles inserted superficially into specific areas of the body in order to help the body’s ability to heal itself. Over the decades in which acupuncture has gained popularity in North America, it has been proven by an increasing body of scientific evidence to be not only exceptionally safe, but statistically effective as well. Acupuncture uses a holistic approach, to help manage symptoms, as well as address the root cause of disease.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct approach to medical care that emphasizes the inherent ability of the body to heal itself, given the right environment. Using gentle, safe, and effective therapies, naturopathic doctors address the whole person rather than just the presenting symptoms to restore health and help prevent disease.
Naturopathic doctors have extensive training in functional medicine, nutritional science, botanical medicine, pharmaceuticals, and the potential for interactions between all forms of medical conditions and therapies. Consulting with a naturopathic doctor ensures you are safely using the natural medicine that's right for you - saving you time, money and the risk of dangerous interactions.
Restorative Registered Massage Therapy
Massage has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes well-being by working with the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. It consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body; more specifically the muscles, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments. Massage Therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many common chronic pain conditions.
Prenatal/Postnatal Registered Massage Therapy
Includes assessment and massage therapy treatment customized to your needs & goals. The intent here is to create an overall sense of calm. These massages are for those in 2nd, 3rd and 4th (postpartum) trimester. Manual Lymphatic Drainage Registered Massage Therapy
A specialized, slow-paced treatment using gentle, rhythmic pressure to stimulate the flow of lymphatic fluid and support the body’s natural detoxification process. MLD can help reduce swelling, fluid retention, and chronic inflammation, while promoting immune function and tissue healing. This light-touch technique is also beneficial for post-surgical care, lymphedema, and overall wellness. Deeply calming and restorative. Please note: Each session includes an assessment and a massage therapy treatment tailored to your unique needs and goals. Your treatment may also incorporate other hands-on Swedish massage techniques for added benefit.
TMJ Specific Registered Massage Therapy
Includes assessment and massage therapy treatment customized to your needs & goals. The TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) is what connects the mandible (lower jaw) to the skull, just under the ears. The muscles of the TMJ control chewing. Dysfunction or malalignment can affect the neck, shoulders, face, and teeth. Studies have found massage to be extremely helpful in managing TMJ pain and TMJD symptoms.
Crainosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of body work that addresses the whole body and has a profound impact on the nervous system. It consists of a combination of listening to and gently manipulating body tissues, including the head and face, with the aids of intuition and scanning body tissues for energetic charge. Typically the focus is on the cranium-spine-sacrum area, but it is not in any way limited to it. It can be done on any part of the body where restriction is apparent.
